So I've survived my first season of riding and have gotten quite sick of my SV650S.
Don't get me wrong I love the styling, handling, and how easily the poweful v-twins swoops me through city traffic,
but i find that bike sure as painful to ride as it is fun.
I find the seat too hard, too wide at the front, and frankly too weird it just doesn't quite sit right. The handle bars are too forward, but I guess that's typical for sport bikes. Also, there isn't enough room between my ass and the footpegs so when I go riding for more than an hour i start getting pins and needles.
I've been noticing on the rides board that people seem to go on 600 km+ day trips, while I can't go from vancouver to merritt without taking 2 breaks and feeling like a dead man when i arrive.
Is this typical? How many of you out there are riding like this and just sucking it up?
Oh another thing I'm 6 feet, have long legs, and seriously thinking about buying a CBR600/1000RR based on one test ride, but I heard that the footpegs are even shorter on that bike. There's no way i'm getting a sport touring.
