I've been wanting to get into riding for a long time now, I was into DH racing on MTB's for the longest time - I love bikes.
So, today is the last day that I will own my car, I'm selling/trading for a new(old) bike.
No pics yet, but tomorrow I will have many. It's a 1980 Yamaha 400 Special (XS I think,) with some issues that need addressing. Front caliper needs a revamp, pads, seems that the head gasket is gone as there's slight leakage all the way around... The starter solenoid doesn't always engage, seat's torn and it's overall 'well used'. Only has 25,000k on it though, so that's nice. I should be able to play with it over the winter and then have it reliable by summer.
Anyhow, I got it with the trade, so I'm not too worried. Should be a fun project!
As far as my riding skills go, they're pretty limited. I'll be practicing in a lot of parking lots for a long time, and scratching it up a bit too. Can't wait!
