Quick question that I couldn't find info on with search:
I know if I leave my '04 CBR sitting in my garage without prepping it at all, the batter will die, I risk rust forming in the tank, and a number of other mechanical problems that I am totally overlooking. I haven't yet winterized my bike (take out the battery, add fuel stabilizing...), but I was told that as long as I run my bike every once in a while, the battery won't die on me and I can just hop on it in the spring without anything bad happening to it.
This sounds like a pile of BS to me, so I figured I'd ask here. What kind of problems would I be looking at if I simply ran my bike in my garage for 10/15 minutes once in a while (every week?) rather than 'winterizing it'. Would insuring it for a day and taking it for a ride sporatically during the winter be helpful? (On clear days, of course).
