need a little help from someone smarter then me.
so at work (i'm a programmer), all of our programming software is locked out with a USB dongle.
you have to have the dongle plugged in for any of the programs to start up, otherwise the computer spits an error message out. well the problem is, among other things, is these dongls are flimsy shit and break all the time. this basicly leaves me more or less useless untill i can get a new one in.
we've had hacks in the past for these, when they used to be parrallel port keys. i know kinda how the software is working. i believe its just searching for a registry key. but is there anyone out there who knows more of these hardware/software security keys then i do that could point me in the right direction on how to get around it?
