Susan, my long time LD riding partner Marc and I are heading to Alaska on the first of 3 three week trips north over the next three summers.
Since many of you want to tour but haven't the time yet or the experience, I thought that I would write a thread updating our trip plans and routing, bike prep and gear logistics over the next 5 months. I hope it will be helpful

I have been to Alaska before on my Wing. Marc drove the Alaska support vehicle on Dick Fish's 29 day 2 hour 15 minutes Prudoe to Ushia ride. This will be Susan's first trip that far north but she is an experienced LD rider and has ridden the Baja and has completed 2 long multi-day solo rides. Last year the three of us in total rode over 100k
We will be basing some of our routing on this excellent and long ride report.
We are planning to be in Dawson City for the Summer Solstice ADV Rider Rally
