Canada Assurance Co. underwrites for the big 5 banks and the policy is basically void if you've had a medical, seen a doctor, or taken a pill in the 2 years prior to you telling them 'no', you are healthy.
It's called post-claim underwriting and I was aware of how it worked but unaware of how easily they deny claims with it. I've cancelled mine and they can eat shit. If even just for what they're doing to people that really deserved and needed it. I hope a class action law suit tears them a new asshole.
