Since we live in the real world, bikes cost money, im planning 8k-10k for gear, bike, etc.
looking at few bikes on craigslist, comment sense tells me that bikes with more mileage obviously(or at least should) cost less.
So I was thinking since selling a 3rd hand bike is pretty much ridiculous, and selling it wouldn't be worth it, so why not get a bike that has been well maintained, has no accident, no stunt etc, is less than 5 year, and has 35-50k km on it, and rebuild the engine with new parts, new clutch, replace essential parts etc(from a professional).
most sport bikes being a 4 stroke, should be safe from cracking, unless it was rev-ed most of it's life, right?
It's probably going to cost me extra 1-2k than buying the same model bike with <20k km sport bike.
having quite abit of friends who are dedicated into sport cars, they import cars(15years or less law), and some of them just rebuild the engine, new piston, new pretty much everything. I was thinking the same for domestic bikes.
Is this a stupid idea?
