Hi, new to riding - bought my first bike a few months ago (bandit 600s 1997 model). Great bike, really enjoying it and learning the ropes.
Time to look at getting new tires, and just noticed that the current tires on the bike are not the recommended sizes...
front is 120/60 17 bridgestone (should be 110/70 17)
rear is 150/60 17 metzeler m1 (should be 150/70 17)
The bike feels good to me in terms of handling (but being new I dont really have much to compare it to). I dont have any history with bike other thank it being a US import (bought it from international motorsports).
Should I go with the manufacturers recommended sizes for new tires or is there some flexibility with the rim widths, would I benefit from a 160 on the rear?
Which tires are good to go for, need to replace both pretty soon? was thinking metzelers or continentals?
thanks in advance for the advice
