Hi all, total newb here. I just got into riding a few weeks ago, my ancient car died and I decided to buy an even older bike to replace it. So I bought an 80's cruiser for cheap from my friend, adjusted the chain and put in a new battery and she's running great. My plan is to ride this bike for one full season before hopefully upgrading to a sport bike (still deciding the make/model).
Anyways, I'm currently shopping for a school. Here's the catch: I live in Vancouver and time is a way bigger factor to me than money. I own a bike and I've passed my MST, but I want to get some instruction for both the road test and just plain safety. That said, my bike is my only transportation at the moment which restricts me to going to/from bike school during the daytime (license restriction). I'd also not prefer to be driving super far due to time and also because I'm not very comfortable riding in traffic yet.
So, any recommendations for a school in my area? I've also thought about working up to the roadtest with help from my friends, and then hitting a school when I've got more availability/flexibility in my schedule. Thoughts on that option?
