Look, I am usually the last one to ever complain on stuff like this but what is with the recent rash of infractions being dished out by MODs?
I have never once thought the MODs were incorrect in punishing people when they are out of line because they are acting to maintain the forum and make sure it doesn’t become a gong show. Some people have received harsh but fair, in my opinion, bans because of extremely rude behavior. These last two infraction warnings and the points, however, seem a little much for what was said.
I refer to points given to both Bandit_Ryder and Danke for their comments in the “mens vs womens gear” thread. Both comments were made in a joking fashion with ample amounts of implied sarcasm. I ask to the MODs simply what have we benefited by punishing these posters? Have we come to the realization that motorcycling isn’t fun and therefore should not constitute joking or laughter? If that is the case it may in fact be the time that I sell my bikes and start collecting stamps
I would also like to point out that at no point have defended the infraction against either morrow or Cop Catcher because I think the MODs were correct in their assessment.
If we choose to restrict laughter to the tucked away sub-folder, known as the Happy Birthday Dalton, will this forum not loose a part of it that made it great?
Just my 2 cents and I eagerly await a possible infraction report
