Yesterday, I ride to the shop for some chain wax... (3 hour round trip, but why not?)
I'm in the shop, and the owner there asks me how my bike is!!! He asks me if I've wound it out yet...
I'm like, no... I'm still breaking it in!!!
He says, "breaking it in??? fucking ride it!!!" He then goes on to say "you have 2 years to blow that engine... and you WONT!!!"
Then he shows me this thing about running in engines from new. Apparently, the way engines are put together now, you are actually causing more harm to them by NOT revving them during break in... my manual says DON'T DO THIS!!!
Could this be true??? Can someone tell me what the real deal is???
