2002 FZ1 choke, exhaust questions...
Hey guys couple of questions...
When I try to start my 2002 FZ1 when it´s cold, I can only do so by giving her throttle, and in the 3rd attempt she´ll start. If I try using the choke lever the bike stalls, like when you already have the engine hot, only this happens either hot or cold. What could it be? (I´m guessing she´s giving not a great fuel mileage, too, but I´m not sure about that since I onlt have 2 months with her.. she´s giving like 15 km/liter, is that ok?)
Also, I noticed a ringing noise from the exhaust pipe, I looke in there and found this!!!
Looks like someone torched it or something... the noise is from the inner pipe tube ringing with vibration.. Any ideas on "fixing" this? I mean apart from getting another pipe..

I have a 2001 - I never touch the choke. One to three tries with throttle to start. It's not like a fuel-injected, computer-controlled bike or car. It does take a little more effort to get it fired up.
15Km/L isn't out of line. Maybe a tune-up would help?
Why thanx a lot, I thought it was strange because my last bike, a 93` Katana 600 used to fire up the first time using the choke lever. So i guessed it was somehow "Bad". Of course the Katana wasn´t f.i...
