I am looking for a new helmet.
My last helmet was an Icon Domain. It fit really well for the first month then it got looser, after about 3-4 months it became so loose that it would've flew off when I am on highway speeds if it did not have a chin strap. Fogs like a charm and wind noise like sirens. The visor plate snapped the first time after accidently dropping it 2 feet off the ground. I bought a new one and that broke too after 3 weeks, that time I didn't drop it, It just snapped. I also bought a dark smoked visor that lasted 1 month before the pieces of the dark layer started ripping out. Enough venting...
I am looking into buying a new helmet now and theres Shoei and Arai which alot of people say that they are excellent helmets and long lasting and durable.
I saw a Suomy Spec 1R at Bayside Performance and tried the large on and it was the most comfortable helmet ever. Felt like silk and a good snug. I have read some feedbacks on some websites. Some people say they are good, some say they suck.
Anybody know where in Vancouver that I can try out Suomy helmets before I buy one? The large fit perfectly but I'd like to try a medium just to make sure. Non of the shops that I've called seem to have the Suomy Extreme Spec 1R in stock to try on. I've called RMS, Burnaby Kawi, Daytona Motorsport, Modern Motorcycle and Bayside Performance.
Your review and experience on Suomys are also welcome.
