I'm wondering what can be done to a bike, set up wise, to make it more flickable? I can never remember but does raising or lowering the forks in the triple clamp make it handle faster? Would I want them flush or with a few of the lines showing? Also, raising the rear ride height also helps right?
I test rode a Ducati 848 for an afternoon last week and I was a bit disappointed. The bike seemed very slow to turn side to side. It required a lot of steering effort; much more than my brothers Ducati Monster S4RS and more than my SV650 as well. I'm wondering if it was more of a set up issue or something else with the bike. I was very set on getting an 848 but, after that test ride, I'm reconsidering. I just didn't like the way the bike felt in the corners. It could be something you get used to though. I'm hoping there is an easy way to make the bike more responsive by changing the set up.
