I want to see the befor and after .
cause boring my bike out to a 470 from a 400 and at the same time I am going to up the carb to a 40 mil flat slide from a 36 pumper carb and a set of Yosh race cams and rev box ...In stock form with Yosh pipe it turns out 36 to 38 HP but after the mods it will top 60 HP and the bike weighs 260 lbs:D

hmmm, you might be able to hit low 13s on it.... possibly high 12's on a very good run.... but it's all in the launch for bikes.... and I hope to improve my times by half a second on friday.

CG - just remember, slip the clutch - not drop the clutch (don't want to end up like that guy on the video going over the cones)

Sounds like the weather will be good again this Friday. That means there will be lots of people racing. I'm going to be there nice and early so I can get a spot by the fence. everyone is welcome to join me. Look for the Blue ZX9R.

P.s. Just a reminder for those that are running under 11 seconds you need a dead man switch. I heard today that they are going to get sticky on rules in the next couple weeks.

Hope to see you all at the track :D

so are you and Ryan coming? Ryan was very interested and looks like he might just run his bike after all?

you want hints, not much to it, just rev up to 8000rpm, hold it, when light turns yellow, slip the clutch until it's all the way out and wide open throttle until you get to the end of the 1/4.

Anyone wanting to run at the track must wire in a teather switch that, when pulled out (attached to belt loop, wrist, etc) will stall the bike...

For a honda F4i this is very easy to do and doesnt involve cutting any wires... the gixxer involves splicing into the main ECU power wire (its fused, so no risks)

dont know what the yamaha is like or the kawa but it just involves finding the correct wire.

if anyone needs help I can,

So this teather is for all bikes??? and ther callin fer rain:mad

jonathan
04-24-2002, 07:13 PM

WILD FX

Hmmmmm... so I need help hookin one up:(
And yes it is but I prefer SUPERMOTO thats what the brits call it or SM fer short

jonathan

how much, may I ask, would it cost to build something like that ?

wiring for your bike should be easy... find the main fuse or main power and splice the teather switch into it.. I used a male and female rca jack... I can draw up a diagram later.

I have a suzuki DR200

its a 1989 model... Its kinda slow (around as fast as a older 125cc) would this bike be worth it to build up on ? (not to be competative, just to have fun)

You spoke too soon my friend ! HAHA ! I see it is drying up in camera #2

I called them and they said they'll make a decision at 4pm

SO, I am going to glance outside at 3pm, if its drying up here im going to ride out to MRP (leaving at 3:30)

Worst that can happen is they'll say its cancelled,
BEST is only a few people will show up because everyone thinks it'll be rained out !

:D :rider

ahhh screw it, 4pm and it's still wet on the ground.... i'd rather not run on a wet track as it will not help my times.... next week thou.... have fun.
