I'm a beginner rider, I'm taking over my friend's bike payments. It's a 03 gsrx600, he had it for 4 months but had already clock almost 7K miles on it, and ride it hard. Is it too much? would the bike have any problem in the long run? i will basically pay around 5500 for the bike, is it a good deal. Help me out please.....thanks!

$5,500? Good deal! 7K of hard riding is only just broken in... no worries as long as the maintenance was done and he didn't drop it or live on the rev limiter.

Edit: Oops! Didn't see the Florida until my fellow RR rider pointed it out... I can't comment on the price now.

Edit 2: 7,000 miles = 11,000 kilometers... Still OK if maintenance was done, but it's getting to be less of a deal...

Good deal on price... new one is about 9000 CAD plus taxes~

7k in 4 months avgs under 2k per month... that's not a lot of clicks if it's your only mode of transportation...

And I agree with overdraft... if the maintenance was done, then it should be an ok bike~

Edit: Sorry, I didn't notice you were in Florida until after... $5500 USD? The mileage isn't all that bad~ If you're taking over payments, then that's probably about the price you'd still have to pay if you've only had it for 4 months... but I don't know the price for that bike over where you live... but here is about 8000 USD after taxes so I'm guessing it's a great price~

You sure you'd only be paying $5500 at the end for it? You'd be getting about half the bike as a gift from your friend basically if that was the case...

He bought the bike out the door for 7500, put $1500 down and did 4 months payment already so he owes around 5500 left. I'll be paying 140 for 56 months so the final price will be around 7800 with interest, but then i can always have the options to pay it off if i have money to do so. Thank You for all the comments.

P.S. Why would Florida price be different than other state? i actually see cheaper prices online from other states dealers than the one here in Orlando Fl.

Ohhhhh... USD... okay, that makes more sense... much better deal without financing...

Sorry for not making it clear, it's USD, and the 7K is in miles not Km
