I had an "incident" yesterday at Burrard and 4th involving a car that ran a red light. Once I got up off the pavement, I found that the damage to my bike was quite minimal, due to having Lightning sliders on the frame and swingarm, and fixed pegs which absorbed alot of the impact. I've never "crash-tested" these things, but now I'm a believer. If you don't have them, get them, they're great for low-speed stuff.
Ive been thinking of picking some up for the new ride, but wasn't sure just how well they worked. I would definitely be interested in seeing some pics up. And good to see you're ok.
I'm definitely going to be looking into some as well, I just had a crash with a car on monday. Glad to hear you're doing well, must've had good gear on....
Well, certainly glad you're okay, Vince... but jeeze. 'Nuffa that, alrighty? :eek On the bright side, you know your sliders work and *maybe* you can get rid of them fugly non-matching stickers while the bike's in for repairs.
good to hear you came out ok. just picked up a set of satos. they'll be on shortly. see you on the road.
