I thought I'd start a sticky for people to list their stolen bikes. This can be an easy reference point if you see something fishy on the market.
To help with detailing the theft, report the date and location of theft, make, model, VIN, colour, location etc. Anything that could assist with...
The dangers of riding(categorized) from the safety nazi of the day(me):
in my small amount of time riding I've come up with a couple observations regarding the dangers. I've compiled them into an unscientific, statistically oriented list from most frequently happening on BCSB to least(some...
It's that time of year again, so just a head's up, no specific "date" in the subject line
of a ride thread, gets deleted.
"Saturday" does not count, that's DAY, not a DATE. There are many Saturdays in a year, but only one April 1st.
Reason this is being posted in the General Sportbike...
There are way too many oil threads started in a year, and most lead down a similar path of debate and frustration.
So, ALL oil related threads/posts will be contained within this area going forward.
Feel free to discuss the exciting merits of syn for not? Fantastic winter oil options? All...
does anyone know where i can get a 13 inch rear rim with disc brake for a 250 cc saga by benzhou scooter--s130/60/13-250rdi
Being its a popular spot for the sport bikes thought I would start this thread to keep tabs on the changing conditions up there.

Road surface is in better shape than it was last spring but its still very covered in slippery silt. Got the wake up call soon as I hit the...
Have done 6 track days so far this year, so am now thinking of doing this road trip starting on Sunday morning (June 2nd). Will be 2 nights and 3 pretty full days of riding, back by Tuesday late afternoon. Links below for maps.
Am considering staying in Chewelah on Sunday night and...

In the event of a collision you turn in to the Michelin Man. Maybe not the dumbest idea, but investors aren't going for it. (35 million views and a measly $310 raised so far)
Spunky's bus is full house! Anybody else is doing a bus run from Vancouver Island?
Fred, aka desperate asshole that can't wait to see the new S1000RR in flesh!! :rider :flashy
I bought a new bike today and the sales guy told me I'm better off leaving my bike to the elements rather than using a cover every day (during summer that is). Apparently putting a cover on and off that often wears on the paint, and if the bikes still warm it will cause condensation leading to...
Way back in 1992, I got my full motorcycle licence 30 days after I got my learners. I passed my full licence on my first bike: a 1984 Honda XLR 350.
I passed my full test in the morning. In the afternoon, I went to a Honda demo day at Richmond Motorsports on No. 3 Rd. (as I said, it was back in...
Anyone here seen the boys in blue weaving in and out of traffic the last couple of weeks?
i was down in Kelowna on wed for some warranty work on our car and saw a pair cruising around.
Just wanna share an experience I recently had with BK parts / service department:
I sent in my rear wheel to plug and patch a screw in my tire. I had a staff member inspect my rim for damage (which was none)
Next day the tire was repaired but the rim was scratched badly.
Well, the staff...
Getting back into bikes and looking at one in Alberta right now. I won't be able to check it out in person before buying which I'm fine with as it's essentially brand new and I will have a skype call to go over a couple things.
I've contacted a shipper and am all good on that front, only...

I've had these gloves for 4 years, so I suppose I should not complain, but fact is they didn't get worn that much... I have another pair I wear for most of my commuting and touring. The thin leather on the sides of the fingers is always gonna be the weak spot on a sport glove, and I suppose there...
nice little article in Revzilla:
spoiler alert: states with 'strong' laws against...
I got the latest issue of Cycle Canada in the mail today. Yes, I subscribe to paper magazines, cuz I'm old and reading is a habit I can't seem to break. And on page 60 of this issue I came across David Booth's 'Chronicles' column. The subject was the effect that an article in the February 1974...
So my wife is giving up riding, so I thought it'd be a opportunity to trade in both our bikes and get a new bike. Life has been busy for me last few years, so I only get to take it out on weekends now. Was thinking of maybe downsizing to a 300cc-500c bike.. I know I only have a SV650, but it's...
I’m guessing everyone saw this. *Pretty agro move right in front of all the cameras. *P_WO9RtoBIk

Thor :rockon decided to organize a Sunshine Coast ride on BCSB at the last minute, this motley crew showed up :)
We grabbed coffees and rode in a rather unruly manner through downtown Van up to the ferry terminal
RCMP Press release:
Police Tackling Noisy Vehicles
The onset of summer is not always good news for some Lower Mainland residents, who dread the increase in noisy motorcycles and other vehicles on their neighborhood roads.
The North Vancouver RCMP and Port Mann freeway patrol are inviting...
This article dates back half a year, but I missed it 'then', so maybe you did too. It's certainly just 'anecdotal', not 'science', but the outcomes are interesting and amusing , if not earth shattering. The real take-away for me was the statement partway thru that "I realized that the thing I...
My 899 has been running a bit hot - not warning level hot but hotter than it should be under the conditions. Found the typical weeping hole leak indicative of a water pump failure or pending failure when I went exploring.
Out of warranty so considering other options aside from Highroad Van. Live...
So from e-mails and messages from friends I received both of these today on packs of riders, each with negativity.
