General discussion of Sportbikes
I thought I'd start a sticky for people to list their stolen bikes. This can be an easy reference point if you see something fishy on the market.
To help with detailing the theft, report the date and location of theft, make, model, VIN, colour, location etc. Anything that could assist with...
There are way too many oil threads started in a year, and most lead down a similar path of debate and frustration.
So, ALL oil related threads/posts will be contained within this area going forward.
Feel free to discuss the exciting merits of syn for not? Fantastic winter oil options? All...

The dangers of riding(categorized) from the safety nazi of the day(me):
in my small amount of time riding I've come up with a couple observations regarding the dangers. I've compiled them into an unscientific, statistically oriented list from most frequently happening on BCSB to least(some...
It's that time of year again, so just a head's up, no specific "date" in the subject line
of a ride thread, gets deleted.
"Saturday" does not count, that's DAY, not a DATE. There are many Saturdays in a year, but only one April 1st.
Reason this is being posted in the General Sportbike...
Anyone ridden one of these things? I can't wrap my head around Spyders but these ryker rigs are interesting. Kinda sporty and cvt drives are cool and fun.
Interesting looking small displacement machine. Anyone know much about it? Think there's even a remote chance it'll hit North America?
What's the best/cheapest way of doing this? Anyone have any price ranges that they've previously shipped with? The bike is a ninja 650. Any ideas would be appreciated.
So what do you guys think? Would he be a lackluster satellite team rider? Myself, I appreciate the guy a lot (though disliked him in his formative years until he started acting like an...

Hello to the forum,
Its been a few years now and I find myself very much with the itch. I haven't thrown a leg over a sport bike since 2012 and have tried riding all other styles, but sportbike's are home for me. At 43 years old the voice of reason is strong in my head but the midlife crisis...

but back to real life, as for local dealerships, who are Moto Meccanica?
Sending out a Happy New Year to all of you. I hope everyone got out riding as much as they had hoped in 2019. I'm also curious as to what everyone has planned for 2020.
Me- beyond getting out riding more than last year, I have two goals.
1. Do more weekend trips. Leaving after work on Friday,...
My girl and I booked 5 days in Austin for this year's MotoGP. I figure it could possibly be the last year I get to see Rossi in action so it had to happen this year.
I've never been to a MotoGP before so I wonder if you guys have any experiences or advice to share, particularly when...
Anyone here seen the boys in blue weaving in and out of traffic the last couple of weeks?
i was down in Kelowna on wed for some warranty work on our car and saw a pair cruising around.
sometimes I park the bike for the winter, but the warm autumn encouraged me to carry my plates thru the winter too. so, I'm commuting in rain, coming home in the dark, etc... and therefore generally doing NO maintenance to the bike - just treating it as a winter hack. and there is a price to be...
time well wasted:
Well, not really. I have managed to have a shade under $30K fall into my account after the demise of a very distant relative earlier this year. Now the question is, what to do with it?
Certainly it isn't "take this job and shove it" money. But if your RRSP's are topped off, housing has been...

I wanted to get everyone’s opinion on front wheel chocks. I would like to buy one and was wondering what everyone would recommend? I have seen a couple and the the one I am interested in is the Baxley Sport Wheel Chock but it’s like $350. I was wondering what you all are using for this if at all. I...
Rest in peace,
Four-time champion Carlin Dunne has died following a crash just meters from the finish line at the Pike's Peak international Hill Climb

Euro 5 214bhp, its not a V4 :(
I traded my 2017 Ninja 1000 for a 2019 H2SX. As with most things there is a story behind most decisions, and I figured I would share just so you have some real world perspective.
After three summers on the N1K, and some stupidly fast multi-day trips with my buddies on their 14's my body...
Rumor has it it will be a naked. A Z900? A Z1000? Or even the 2020 H1. I guess we will know on October 23rd.....
i'm wondering if anyone is using any kind of radar detectors on their motorcycles? if so, what kind/price and effectiveness, and if you have a picture that would be great as well.
Recent shop closures in Seattle, 5 shops all at once, affecting primarily Ducati owners, but also BMW, and Indian. Soundrider spells it out here:
