Jay's done this enough times that any "sympathetic" hummer he might get probably involves teeth! :devilook

Yup. The forest service cut these out to prevent runoff creeks washing the whole road out.

so let me guess - Jay hit one going too fast, ended up grinding the front end down to the bottom of fork travel, and was then thrown ass-over-tea-kettle and smashed into a pile under his bike ... ?

Looking ahead through the dust, I thought I could see two guys wrestling in the middle of the road. I guess I saw Jay and the Suzuki dancing in the air. Not really sure,,,,maybe a bear attacked him. I did see some short black hair hanging out of his mouth....

always a shitty deal when you fuck yourself up on a bike. i find it always gives me time to reflect on what's important in life and my goals while on this planet. then i heal up and ride and forget all that other shit. happy recovery, and maybe a true dirt bike instead of a heavy dual sport is in order?

So a quick thread bump for this crash from 2012 and the fractured hip, which was all but a long lost memory. Left from it was a still slightly swollen
hip as crash damage reminder - or at least I thought....

Until I ended up in Langley Emergency for a nice 4 day tour that I have now been discharged from.

    Coles Notes

There has been an infection ongoing on the tissue of the hip from June 2012 until current, that I was not even aware of. There was always
slight swelling, but no impact or pain. Apparently my immune system has just been covering up the infection on a constant basis. Nobody
would have known any better. Doctors has noticed the slight difference between good hip and bad, but nobody thought much about it.

Until... I present to the hospital feeling like I'm dying, with a heart rate through the roof and my heart doing erratic things even the physicians
there and at Royal Columbian hadn't seen like before.

Turns out I have full blown Influenza A, I'm near heart attack territory, fever off the charts. Beyond the flu, my hip is completely swollen, red
and hotter than a texas BBQ. So I'm getting all sorts of heart stuff being done, they are hanging all sorts of bags of hi test broad spectrum
antibiotics as they suspect but don't know why I have septic cellulitis that gone off the charts as my immune system has been hammered with
    this flu situation.

Was a damn good thing I went in when I did apparently. So now have to wait and see if this antibiotics will kill whatever infection was in there
all these years to start with. Need to go to a infection specialist to determine if it is eradicated, and if not what is going on. The say it could be
as simple as something as some debris like a small stone from the crash is in the tissue and keeps the body from clearing the infection.

Crazy times when things from so long back all of a sudden become relevant.
