Subject: Farewell

Hello,

I just wanted to let you know that effective tomorrow I will be moving to take on a new role in the Policing and Security Programs area of the Ministry, where I look forward to taking on a new role for the strategic leadership of implementing the new Community Safety Act.

As I depart, I want you to know that it has been a great privilege to have served as Superintendent, and to have worked with many of you over these past six years. You all do extremely valuable work, each and every day, and can treasure the fact that we are succeeding in making our roads a much safer place. Although I will greatly miss the work we do, I am confident that important initiatives now in place, combined with the strategic road map that we have all developed, will provide a blue print for continued progress in road safety for many years ahead.

I will always treasure my time as Superintendent as one of the highlights of my career. Working with the road safety community is one of the key aspects of the role that has made this time special for me.

Thank you all. I am confident that you will have continued success in the important endeavors that lie ahead.

With admiration and appreciation,

Steve

have you had any issues dealing with him in relation to motorcycles over the years? Just curious if he's been for or against any of the things you've been trying to achieve for motorcyclists (transferable plates, lane filtering, etc)
