    They've done this on tons of their new bikes. My 2014 CB1100 had it and I reverted to 2013 left hand controls because it was so annoying -- I don't know why they chose to make it different than basically every bike ever made.

    That's a big endorsement. I don't regret downsizing from my old VTR 1000 to a 650 Versys at all. Not as much adrenalin fun happens, but it's a comfortable, capable and fun bike to ride all day long. You've got me thinking an FZ07 would be a good next bike.

    Yup. You also get a tax savings from netting your trade against the new sale before tax is added -- although on a bike this doesn't add up to all that much.

    So I had the chance to ride 2 up today on a cbr500r... And it's no problem to haul two folks around at reasonable pace. It does lack in brakes for that given it has only one rotor and caliper up front. It's possible to pass cars on backroads but reality is, even at wfo throttle it needs time to build momentum. I'd imagine a 300 with one rider would be comparable. A pass that a 600rr would be capable of in a second, takes thought, planning and space to do safely... And I would gear down and literally hold the throttle full stick.

    Thanks guys, after some more consideration. I will sell the wife's 250 and keep the SV650 . I'm pretty happy with my SV650, just thought it'd be a nice opportunity to get a new bike. Oh well...unless I can convince my wife to let me keep the SV650 AND trade-in her 250 for a KTM RC 390

    If it hasn't been said already. The CBF, CBX, CBR500 are GREAT! I'm currently riding an Yamaha R3 and loving it. The R3 would even be good for Squamish runs. Yamaha did an excellent job on the 320cc engine, it pulls far more than I thought it could.
