2 days? yeah right.. i've been loggin' in here and there and see nothing that could amount to 'content' for two weeks!

i think we've all had it with the termites, it seems bots get more use out of this site than bikers..

that is the nail on the coffin for me. The ban-hammer posts are making me laugh though.

C'mon guys its not a human being, i dont think 'IT' cares..

I keep checking in too. Not much happening in the winter I guess. I've been working like a maniac racking up the OT trying to make bank so I can enjoy the riding season again. Working so much I haven't even been putting around in thenshop much at all. Dreaming of some trips and jonesing bad to ride. I really am starting to hate winter, snow, cold. Done with it and it's not even Christmas yet.*

yup. mighty quiet... maybe it'll lively up come spring?

as for winter, Squisher, it might not be riding weather, but you don't even live in a cold part of the country... much less this year, which is positively balmy compared to normal. heck, virtually no snow, and the lakes aren't even frozen!

I'm not sure exactly what is going on with this forum. Clearly, compared to the 'old days', it's inactivity has nothing much to do with the weather. Forum operators/owners are asleep at the wheel, allowing these random entries and bots to show up and linger for days, weeks often.

I'll offend a few here by offering the opinion that the demographic change in riders has moved on from using sportbikes as nothing more than track days [highly legitimate] and seasonal squids who think a big ride of the week is a Saturday morning to Squambucks, or Richmond to New Westminster return, in one day. Nobody here wants to volunteer escorting a new rider, limping along, there's got to be other forum groups catering to new riders. Touring on a modern superbike is a classic example in self pain mind over reality. It makes no sense. There are ADV bikes, sport tourers with decent performance [where can you actually use 195 rear wheel hp these days for more than 10 seconds without getting thrown in jail] that offer two up/full luggage/full comfort/decent fuel economy, and hey, most won't even cook your balls. . Yeah, ADV bikes are ugly, but hey, a lot of these new superbikes are falling out of ugly trees these days as well. The Kawasaki H2, hey,,,,definitely polarizing visual appearance. There are a couple superbikes I'd like to have, the Aprilia V4 engine sounds as beautiful as a Ferrari V12 or CBX. The maintenance costs, sitting position, devastating fuel economy, self destructing resale values within 2 years, all keep me clear, very clear.

I check this forum once every 2 weeks, even then it's 1 minute to check out stuff that interests me.

That looks balmy to me. I'm in the outlier section of coldstream and have a solid 6+ inches of snow on the ground and my pond is very much frozen. So not to be confused with Kelowna/peachland weather. Still the same yes I am just becoming a wintertime wimpass. Plowed like 4days out of the last week and on a cabless tractor and 250m driveway I am feeling justified in my whining.*

    .
this time around it was pretty obvious, in case nobody else noticed..

the continued bot attacks and bullshit posts pissed a few people off. Myself included. Nothing nasty to
the mods / site owners on here but either manage the site, or dont. Asking for real humans to come
back week after week and put effort into generating content while a bloody bot has a party at our
expense , isnt gonna get you far. Its a security concern; if y'all cant see that, then maybe its time to
    consider other hobbies.

the whole FB group thing should be separate from the forum, meaning you'd expect a little more than the bs around the corner
rides you speak of. I would expect the actual 'riders' would be on here. But as you have mentioned I made a similar comment
on the R1 forum and got my arse chewed out by a bunch of millenials bitching about the initial cost of bikes, work status, cost
of maintenance, lack of dealer support etc. It sounds like hunting for excuses to be honest, either you ride or you've got too
much money and shit for brains. Whats the point of spending thousands of $$ just to take a picture of your living room with
a bike in the middle? The young crowd really does think ice-cream & starbucks runs are the only thing these bikes are capable of.

Should've used a snowblower, zero emission hand shovelling will just keep the snowflakes happy.

Just finished shoveling off 4" of wet slop, temps going up to 7 by midnight. Then the plow came by and piled another 18" in my driveway. Thankfully my neighbor came by with his snowblower and took care of it.

People have been whining about the death of sportbikes for a decade. They blame it on a myriad of things; impounds, insurance, millennials. Whatever ..... either you want to have stupid levels of performance or you don't.

I've moved away because I have the ability to look back at those years of screaming around like my hair was on fire and thinking "Crap on a cracker, I'm amazed I didn't manage to kill myself". As I aged I came to the conclusion that the risk vs. fun factor was outside my comfort zone.

I don't care about the bots ..... they are obvious so no need to read their nonsense.

The late 90s into 2000s saw a shitload of internet users. Forums, msn/yahoo/icq were the rage. Faceass took over and left behind the boomers and genXers. Now its all about the millennials with their faceass, instagram, twitter, and tik tok(whatever the hell that is).

This group was huge but we aged, laws changed, high insurance caused many to drop out. Motorcycles can be a shortlived fad. Still a few diehards around and I do appreciate them.
