    Another Rider Lost....

As per today's The Province newspaper :

"Police say speed is to blame for B.C.'s 26th fatal motorcycle crash of 2004.

Quesnel RCMP say Gregor Anslow McCrae, 59, of Quesnel, was travelling at least 120 km/h in an 80-km/h zone on the Nazko Highway when he failed to negotiate a sharp left turn with an advised speed limit of 60 km/h. McCrae went off the right side of the road and down an embankment. He died at the scene.

This year has been especially dangerous for bikers. A total of 33 motorcycle riders were killed on B.C. roads in all of 2003."

R.I.P rider, everyone be safe out there.

Look and lean people. Take some training if you have none.

At least he got 59 years out of life. I feel more for the young ones who never get the chance to live a longer life.... Rip.

I wonder what happened, doing 120 in a 80 turn isnt all that much to deal with on any bike...

according to the report, he was doing 120km in a turn marked 60km? that's pretty fast.. maybe he hit some debris, maybe he was drinking, who know's. In all, be careful.

Saddened by the loss of so many for so little
Fate does not have be this way

If he was going *at least* 120 km/h in an 80-km/h zone and failed to negotiate a sharp left turn with an advised speed limit of 60 km/h then prudence was absent. Sadly some training can’t corroborate prudence, that is more attitude than skill.

They do not say what kind of motorcycle he was riding. In any case, this is becoming far too often.

I'm sure many of us have leaned over at 120km/hr. in situations that perhaps we shouldn't have.
