Rider down ......but not out !

So I'm commin home fom the store at about 4:20 (how ironic) and I'm just pullin away from the set of light's, in perfect Motard style(carring the front wheeel) and this fuckin full size GMC extra cab decides to turn left ,right fuckin infront of me. All i see is BOX.....TONEAU COVER.....BOX.....PAVEMENT..
BIRD'S WTF,where did the bird's come from ? Anyways I haul my sore body off to the side of the road, where a croud has already started to gather. This lady grabs me by the arm and orders me to sit down, so I abliged her request, kuz I was on my way down to the pavement when the adrenlin wore off reguardless of what she said. 2 ambulances,2 cop car's , and they are still wondering where the bike came inyto play. I'm guessing that they thought by the size of the dent in the truck(that I hit) there must be another vehicle involved ,and the bike must of fallen out of the truck.

get to the hospital , and 4 hours later they release me with a broken left hand 9 stitches in my right leg, badly brused hip,and a maybe your left foot is broken as well ? thank God for hard toneau covers,if it wasn;t there i would have had a quite sudden stop in the box of his truck, and that would have hurt even more.
I took the "Short Bus" to school....only kuz they told me it was faster......What did they tell you ?

    Glad to hear your okay.

Bloody cagers -- how hard is it to make sure there is no traffic -- including m/c -- coming before turning left? Jeez.
Work sucks -- let's go riding!

Damn. I could've had this problem myself. I was riding today when a Pontiac van decided to make a slow left right in front of me. Thankfully, I saw him a long time ago and slowed down. Sorry to hear you didn't fair so well. Be happy you aren't staying in the hospital overnight. You'll heal and be back on the road in a month.

    Heal fast.

Yeoww...Been there ...done that, sounds like your very lucky BF.
Watch that hip, insist that your doctor does a proper bone scan, they missed the fact that mine was fractured for four months and by then it was already set.
Don't make the mistake i did and try and deal with the bastards at ICBC yourself either.
get a lawyer before you go in and talk to an adjuster.
They really do not have your best interests at heart,
Jim McNeney http://www.mcneneymcneney.com/ has been a godsend for me,i can't recommend him enough

WTF! Not listening to doctor's orders? You're not suppose to be out riding yet are you???

Shit man, glad to hear you're at least well enough to post up the experience. How's the bike? Shit, I feel bad for the truck...or anything else that has to suffer the impact of your body against it!

Drink some eggnog, and try to numb the pain before christmas.

Too bad you werent up in the air with the front tire when the truck turned in front of you.....might have avoided most of the hurt
