HI
Installed a PCV and used the 08 map codes for the 600 with a full Akro as per Dynojet. It still has some flat spots and is running rich in the lower power band. Need some advice on how to tweak this and smooth out the performance. Have a laptop with the software installed but just need some guidance.

Thanks

Going to tune by feel and sound for now. Just need an idea of how much to change the map numbers for the different areas of the powerband. Basically it's rich below 8k rpm.

Each bike will likely require slightly different adjustments, clearly demonstrate by the fact that your generic map didn't quite get you where you wanted. Don't think someone else's map is going to be that much better for you. If you think you can tune by feel and sound, and think it's rich, seems logical to me which way to change the adjustments.

However, at the end of the day, without keeping an eye on O2 or EGTs, it's a shot in the dark and you should be pretty careful about not going too lean.

Guess the best place to start is to make sure Dynojet gives you the right map to use in the first place. They said the 08 map would work. Called today and talked to a different tech who said they wouldn't. Had me download and import the PCIII map codes for the 04 and then flash them to the PCV. Took it for a rip and it's a whole different bike. Ready to rock the STS now!
