there's hardly anyone around anymore, but for the few hangers-on, here's a very cool video of the 30 years of the CBR1000RR. the comments about goals, and team-work, go way beyond the development of a single motorcyle model... so does the obvious generational respect shown from generation to generation...

Honda ..... they do a decent job. Maybe not top of the class in "wild man motorcycles" but consistent reviews throughout the decades.

Honda changed the steering geometry slightly for the '06/07 iteration - sharpened the handling a bit, it is said. Whatever it is, 170 crank ponies and a very user friendly handling character (yet turns like it's riding on a rail) works for me !!

I’m rather fond of these—I should really own a litre-bike before I die (hoping it doesn’t accelerate my journey to end-of-life).

But as a sure sign of old age, I find the new Goldwing—in black—is actually a damn good-looking motorcycle!

Hi Don. The summer must have slipped away on us. I was hoping to get in touch and go for a ride with you. The CBR1000RR sport touring machine had a decent year. Not what I would have liked but close to 20,000 Km's, a bit or rain, cold, hot, dodged some snow in California, and rode through a sand storm in Arizona. Otherwise, a quiet riding year.
