Kakashi is right. Just like when coming to a sudden stop on the highway, many euros will turn on their hazard lights as they're braking. I do that here too, but I don't know how many people realize what it means. I have seen them slow down though.

It's LEFT hand turn signal he turns on, not right. It signals passing.
Notice how the car in the left hand lane gets out of his way...That's how it SHOULD be done...Wish our drivers knew that.

I was amazed by the drop in speed too. I don't think I have ever stopped that quickly before.
