For all those that have not heard of this "rule of thumb" when piloting anything with tires, might save you a low side or make that pocketbikes a little closer to my ass...read up on the "traction circle"
that's a good way of explaining traction. although "r" is not always a constant and is dependant upon available traction (ie, road imperfections, gravel, water, other riders braking too early...) but it's an easy way to think about how much tire you are using.
that's what happened when I crashed, I was trying to figure out where the "edge of the circle" was for the front tire.
