Only one northbound lane was open, this evening, on The Ironworkers Memorial Bridge. I spotted the rider's helmet first, 100 or so meters before the his or her bike (red cbr?), which was wedged under the rear of another vehicle.

I didn't see any blood, anyhow, so hopefully the helmet's being behind the rider's bike was a good sign- meaning that the rider didn't slam into the vehicle too, but instead rolled over and over, gradually loosing speed!:thumbup

Best of luck, if you're still with us.

Traffic was backed up to Boundary...I rode by heading to NV right after they took the guy away...it was a red (ish) cbr or RC I dunno...the cops were talking to witnesses. It was a Diabolic grey and black shoei helmet and it was a good 35 feet away from the bike and car...I hope he is gonna be ok.

A buddy of mine was riding his bike when 2 bikes blitzed past doing about 150ish. a few minutes later traffic was backed up onto the bridge. Then he sees one of the bikes and a passenger with no lid heading the other way. long skidmark and a bike under a ford escape. After seeing this thinks that the bike was stolen and other biker picks up friend and gets out of the scene. dunno?

Pretty reasonable theory.

I work with a girl who's friend was the one that caused the accident. she told me today that her buddy was riding, and the woman driving the escape cut him off [he was exsessively speeding]. His buddy was coming up behind him and picked him up after the accident was caused and fled the scene.

He aparently has BAD road rash and refused hospital treatment.....go figure.

Still sounds like a stolen bike scenario. Why leave the scene? If it's his bike, it's completely traceable back to him.
