looking for recommendations on any recommendations on mechanics that knows the ins and out of vintage BMW style airhead motors. I have a CJ750 which is a copy of a ural M72 which is in itself a copy of the BMW R71. I can do a lot myself but am hoping if I am stumped I can find someone to go to so sort out issues. Any recommendations will help.

Cheers
Peter

Shails is definitely the #1 for BMW airheads and early K75 and K100 -K1100-K1200 bricks. And of course Ural flat heads. The CJ750 is a Chinese copy of a Russian copy of an 80yr old German captured sidecar hack. I’m sure it’s very basic stuff,,,,parts supply being the main roadblock.

Thanks. I’ll definitely look them up. The parts itself is actually not that hard to get but you do have to order it from China which takes a while. Cheers gents!
