anyone up for a drive right now out to Hope?

I am heading out to snass creek to check on Pauls Pinilis cross. yeah I know its 2 in the morning, but I am up all night anyway. I have also been meaning to check on it for the last couple of weeks, but the weather has been to sour to ride. Anywhoo if you are up, and wanna come with me, it would be nice to have some company, and I can pick you up anywhere around highway 1 from PoCo to Hope. I am leaving now so give me a ring on my cell

I picked up a couple of hitchkikers on the way...they wont be bothering anybody anymore:devillook he he heeeeee!:evilgrin seriously though, no need to fear me, but you can fear for me...cause that was a spooky drive! there was no one on hwy 3 up to snass, there was a bit of snow falling, and when I got there and turned the truck off....quiet dark and freaky! and not to metion that place was a place of a difficult chapter in my life. Let see, I fell into the creek up to my knees, and almost lost my flashlight. And did I mention is very cold!

I am glad I went though, as the flowers, and sharpie pens in a bag were swept away, and the creek was floating around the cross, and Pauls favourute hat that his brother left for him there. I am very glad I went, as I think another week or to and it all would have been swept away:( I took the cross etc home with me.

I will make a ride up there next spring to put the cross back when the weather is warmer again

Good that you made the trek out there. I'm sure Paul was watching over you.

I can't believe that you didn't take the turbo charged Tercel...

If I'd only had a bit of warning I would have joined you. Maybe when the water subsides a bit we can head up there and replace the cross for the winter?

Wanna drive?? :devillook

Ha haaa the Tercel SC is waiting in limbo for someone to buy it. Its time to let someone else to unleash the fury on the road:laughing I though about givin ya a ring ding on your cell...but wasn't sure If I would be waking you. An for sure we can keep an eye on the water level there, and re-erect it soon. Maybe we can clear a small spot just above, and set it there. I text Paul's Bro in Ontairio just before I got to Hope....and when I got back after, he had sent me like 5 text messages wondering if I was ok...and if I was nuts:laughing I phoned him, and was glad to hear I hadn't lost my mind lol.The Pinili/Green family are awesome people I am proud to know:rockon

Sounds like someone's playing tricks on you, and pushed you in the water for laughs. Last time I was there with you I too "fell in the creek" on my back and completely waist down. In full riding gear. :laughing

Let me know when you make the next trek out there, hopefully a weekend with some notice beforehand.

Good for you, Cory. I couldn't have done that alone. Last year I did the 'end of season clean-up' at Julia's site ...during the day. ;)
