Depends really. Some people will always like the 999/749 design over the current, and some will like the 996/748 over all of them. The real question is with the 848 coming in 2008, there won't be anymore sub 750cc sbk ducati's from 2007+. aka, no more cheap insurance.it was at the toronto show ,its likely comming here,i know of one guy who put a deposit down from a dealer in the states.
id wait to brad to get the first smashed one this summer .
agree with above 100% 999 and 749's will be worth sweet fuk all .
I kinda doubt that anyone who buys one of these bikes would be concerned with the "cheap" insurance. It isn't cheap when you get theft, collision, etc. that you should with a bike like this.Depends really. I wonder if the SS swingarm on the 1098 will fit a 999/749...

they already make a single sided for the 999 long time ago.Depends really. Some people will always like the 999/749 design over the current, and some will like the 996/748 over all of them. motowheels.com did it the same year the 999 came out .Im sure the 1098 swingarm would fit simple easy

febur makes one too

its going to be a few months before a 1098 is avalible here.the ''s'' model is coming [email protected] $25000 plus all the fees .even the base is 20,000. so while the used bikes will take a hit, saying they will be worth sweet f##k all is a bit of dick head response.btw the 1098 frame is changed quite a bit so a swing arm change will need a lot more than simple re &re.engineered fabrication will be required
sorry i thought sweet f##k all usally described the value of a used modded jap bike .guess i gotta learn your lingo better:evilgrini have to be a dickhead because i exaggerated an obvious point ?
hows this ?,they wont be worth as much as they would have been had the 1098 not exist
is that better ? does that make it warmer ?
They'll be available in red, black, and yellow + the tricolorebtw do these come in black this year or only traditional red ??
I think that analysis is bang on.i didnt realize it was such a comparison issue with japanese bikes ,i was comparing ducati models
if you can get 148 hp from a 916 derived ducati (ex,1098 ) i think the duc fans would lean away from trebu's design and go with a more classic duc look .I think it would make 916-998 's worth even more and the 999 may face the fate of the 929 954 after the cbr 1000rr came out .It overshadows a particular short run design .
