Oddly enough when riding to superport we came by the site where that group of kids had that big crash when they hit that semi. When i realised that was the spot , an eary feeling came over me that things can pop up at any time and that we have a great responsiblity to watch things more than other people. When I first started riding i noticed I got more tired tired after a three hour ride than a three hour drive in a car , mainly because riding requires way more eye to road concentration and coming possibilities. i do believe that motorcycle riders are better drivers because we drive like we would ride, watching constantly and expecting the worst. what i find makes the ride with the group better is that it relaxes it a bit more and makes it more enjoyable instead of constantly worrying..not that you should stop worrying. Still being vigilant is important. when I saw these drivers on the highway trying to keep up with us cause they had muscle cars ( ie..black mustang and white jeep cherokee), it worries me that these guys are so concentraded on us that they may not be looking on whats ahead...just like those kids that were racing to beat a train and did not see the semi. hats off to all the lead guys that follow the rules, cause they are the ones that have control over the ride and can prevent unfortunate mishaps!
