You should try Red Fox, I bought a custom painted hugger from them for just over $200 Cdn, although they start at $140 Cdn depending on the model and bike, etc.

Red Fox Huggers

If you want to see a picture of my hugger, just go to the BC Bikes section, I will add a pic of it so you can see a real life one.
Hey Bruce wheren't you working on some sort of hugger project. I thought you were gonna make your own cause I was gonna hold off and see how yours turned out.
Hey thanks man, that is just about my price range and I think I am gonna go for a carbon one. Not bad for 135 bucks canadian :D

That was before a little red Honda found it's way into my garage. The hugger project is on hold until after the racing prep is done. I may just end up buying one in the end. I'm hoping that OPP will get a new supplier with a better design. Apparently the previous design was prone to being cracked by the shock reservoir during extreme travel.
Think I am gonna go with one of those red fox ones. Seems like a really good deal cause I want carbon rather then the more expensive painted ones anyway;)
The prices look good but I don't see one for the 99 and newer 9R's............... Bastards :2up

Dynamo Humm in Montreal sells the NWS brand hugger. Great product, great price.....and no duty!

Just email them. The owner, Ian, is a great guy and they do not always have the website updated with all their products. But it all depends on the availability of the Kawi's in the UK. If they are over there, they will make huggers for them. They do not always follow the same name either. I ordered a hugger for a 900, even though it was made for the 929, they just have different names for bikes over there.

Ian @ Red Fox
Thanks for the link Lloyd. I sent them an Email asking for prices and availability on the carbon models. And Ryan, I also asked if we could share the shipping if we order at the same time. Every little bit counts.

Always thinking one step ahead, good idea ;)

I don't think I'm in for any more mods this year, but could you let me know the price when you get an answer back? Thanks.
Just got this from the guy at dynamohumm.

Bruce
The carbon huggers run $250-$300 CAD (aprox $160-$200 USD).Carbon "look"
about $50 cheaper. Also available in colours.
Two huggers ship for the price of one.

I think Christmas is going to be early this year............. :D But first I gotta get the race toy out of the way money wise.

That's a crime to charge that much for a piece of plastic!! Shame on them!! I'm going to go without a hugger unless I can get one for $100 tops. Damn thieves.:1up

But, but......but...................... but it's CARBON FIBER man. You know........ Black Gold

Yah, that' pretty much how I feel too but then I stop to consider how long it would take me to make up a mold and make my own and then the price doesn't seem so bad after all.

But if you made a mould you could spread the cost of that mould over the thousands of bikers who buy your product. Not charge each and every one for the damn thing!

I had a '63 Valiant that had a carbon build up problem. Could that have somehow been harvested and spun into carbon fibre?:laughing
You've forgotten the basic precept of supply and demand. The one that says "Rip 'em Off GOOOOOOOD".............

That is why I went with Red Fox. It is by far the most reasonably priced hugger available, and they look great. They are still making a tidy profit no doubt, but I do not mind the $135ish compared to the over $200 it would cost for other huggers.

Did you get your's shipped direct from Jolly Ol' England or is there a domestic supplier?
G
What kind of extra fees did you have to pay when RedFox shipped your hugger from the UK?
The usual %15 tax, dutY? others? 'cause if you paid $200 with everything included, i'm gettin' one from them!
