Hey guys

ya to get to the track everybody trailers there bikes, or they rent pickup trucks that can usually fit two bikes in the back

spokane days are very informal, there is no official tech like there is at SIR and PIR, but here is a list of generally required items and also recommended:

Required:

-all lights taped up, head light, turn signals, brake light, and all reflectors and take off your mirrors

-protective gear, leathers (one or two piece) it is recomended that the two piece have a full zip but i have seen people use two pieces that are marginal in my mind, good helmet, gloves, boots and back protector is also strongly recommended

-good tires and breaks, try and make sure there is at least 60-70% tread left, and good brakes

that is all that i can think of that is required for spokane, and remember that other tracks are FAR more stringent

recomended but not necessary

-replace anti freeze with water and possiblyh water wetter
-safety wire oil filter, oil drains plug, coolant plug (i havent had to do this for any track day yet)
-get frame sliders, and notch your levers so if you crash hopefully only the ends break off and you can still ride:)

just remember safety and having fun is the biggest concern so make sure everything is in good working condition and most importantly leave any EGO at home! thats what gets you in trouble

if someone crashes its up to us to clean up, if the bike cant be ridden back we take a truck and pick it up, also we have a broom to sweep the track and if necessary the track manager has a water truck that he can spray the track with

our days seem to coincide with over the tops so we will be there the same day

i cant remember anything else i should say buts its kinda early

my friend tchan748 is also on this board so i am sure there is ALOT he can add since he has been racing for years

Actually one thing i forgot to mention that is VERY important is to buy travel medical insurance for yourself

you can buy this from BCAA

remember that health care in the US is privatized and even a small trip to the hospital can cost you thousands!!

Very good point, that is why i always bring two keys one with the bike and trailer and one in my pocket,

but before each track day people should do a simple check list for equipment

ie: gas in tank, enough air in tires, etc (basically does you bike run ok!!! cause murphys law is that it wont, its happened to me)

also check your gear,

do you have your gloves, helmet, suit, boot, backprotector, different shields for you helmet. lens cleaner to get rid of the bugs, change of clothes cause your gonna sweat you ass off

my recommendation is bring everything you can think off, i would rather bring too much that too little, just like in spokane when a waitress split on a tray of drinks on the only pair of pants i brought!!!!!!!! damn dennys
