Seriously WTF is wrong with people...
I get home tonight and 5 min later hear a big *crash* outside, run to the balcony and see that my bike is laying on its side, and some gray SUV is pulling away from it (from my parking spot) and about to drive off, i saw their licence plate partially (fucking paint on the letters was kinda worn out) looked like 742 MPN. I nearly jumped off my second story balcony to chase them... fuck this world...
Literally only been 2 months since i got the bike back from being repaired from the last hit and run... someone is seriously targeting me :'(
Now i'm thinking if i should maybe just try and get it as a write off and get some cash for it... having to fork $750 twice in a row for a bike that cost me $4200 2 years ago seems like maybe it isn't worth it...

Did you call the police to report a hit and run, quoting the plate # you have and a vehicle description? Anyone in your block driving that vehicle. Post up what you saw, maybe someone will "man" up. Good Luck. I hate ass holes!

I'm wondering if a safer parking spot might be at the top of your priority list? I know this sucks, but we all have to realize that they give drivers licenses to serious bottom feeding vermin these days. Parking on the curbside is one of my "avoid at all costs" areas.

I am with Steve find better parking. Is there a parking lot at your building? It is a rental building, talk to the building super and see if there are any nooks you might be able to park your bike in... At a reduced monthly rate.
Sucks aboutthe bike. I hate people.

Like others have said you need to find a better place to park or park in such a way as to make it more obvious that you're in the space.

That's why people think I'm a jerk. I try to park on sidewalks next to stores and malls. I had my first bike run over while parked in a parking spot. When I do park in a space I watch cars thinking they have found an empty spot only to whip into the spot and stopping just on time. I don't trust that they are all going to stop. I also don't trust that they will stick around to own up.

Why don't you try parking farther out in the parking spot so the front(or back) of the bike is lined up with the cars around it? That way it is visible.

I was parked in my designated parking stall, deep into the stall away from any possibility of getting accidentally hit by a car.

I found the bitches car this morning!

It's my friken neighbor lol. Same car I saw last night, and almost same plates, just messed up the last 2 letters. I looked at their car, and their licence plate is all bent up where they hit me. I called icbc this morning to let them know, and i called the police to let them know as well, interesting though, the police say they dont have the persons phone number and won't be following up with them or contacting them.

Hopefully this fucker gets charged and I can get my baby fixed up asap > <!!!

What a dumb ass though, hit my bike, run away, but lives here... Maybe they thought no one saw... but now they are fucked :2guns

Little known fact. If your hit and run rig is from out of province YOU ARE NOT COVERED. I.C.B.C. will only cover you if they do not know who is responsible. If you find the fucker that left the scene has out of province plates,LOOK AWAY . Weird rule those folks have but it fucked my nephew.

Buy one of those ir hunting cameras at canadian tire and attach it to your balconey.
Then just talk to the guys in the Long Gun Registry thread and find out what kind of firearm will suit your application.

Makes sense. ICBC can penalize someone ("the offender") only if they have jurisdiction.

How is that different then getting into the accident outside the province with it being somebody else's fault?

Not sure. But nephew was backed into by someone. Contacted ICBC and was fully covered under his comprehensive. Later in the week he noticed his paint color under a bumper in the neighborhood with a tailpipe exactly matching the hole in his car. Was confirmed by police to be the car, but it was from Alberta, He has to sue the car owner directly ICBC will not pay a nickle or help in any way. YUP HE GOT THE SHAFT.
