Christmas gift suggestions thread

I thought start with a few items that all bike owners should have. Feel free to post what you think is a good present to that bike owner you know, or in some cases, to yourself.

Please, don't derail this into a Christmas versus Happy Holidays or Festivus for that matter. I'll start another thread on that if you want me to.

Item#2: Princess Auto Compact Motorcycle Lift
Where: Princess Auto LM locations
Price: $298.88
Verdict: I can't see it being that useful give I can't get my stands on these but I would be useful for changing oil and other routine maintenance. Best of all you can just jack the bike up, stand back and admire it.

Throw in the Quad armour and these things are sweet, better abrasion resistance than leather, lighter, and they breathe in the heat!
Just need to see if they can get rid of the silly coloured pic on the front of the belt...

How good is this charger compared to the battery tender? That is a good idea. I was thinking of just a gift certificate to one of the shops so they can buy anything they want.
I did that for my husband last year and he bought a new visor for his helmet
Bazzaz TC at 15% off from EDR performance and 50% off tuning it!

Penske triple from KFG suspension

GP suspension 25mm kit from KFG

All essential for riding to starbucks. Merry fricking christmas to myself :D

Why "Twist of the Wrist II" recommendation and not the original?

FWIW, I bought this tyre pressure gauge at Walmart (for $12 IIRC). I think the brand name is "Slime".

It's small, compact and works especially well on my motorcycle tyres. I bought a second one to keep in the glovebox of my car. :)

Handy little thing! :)

Why "Twist of the Wrist II" recommendation and not the original?
Twist II is a bit more of a matured read than 1 where I think he was really just learning to write what he meant. It covers basically everything done in Twist 1 but Keith has a bit more of focused method of discussion and thankfully he stops posing questions to the reader about the content covered yet never responding to his own questions, which I found irritating.
Twist II I found much more applicable to street riding as well, that's not to say the first wasn't its just the references were very track tailored and you had to make the connections since your not really WOT on the street so the concepts differed.
Twist II is still a little odd though and you'll know what I mean when you read it cause Keith throws in his own version of vocabulary explanations that are at times a little uh, insulting... Maybe he thinks of racers like Jeremy Clarkson (Top Gear) does and so feels the need to explain words like "perceive" or "mind".
