Congratulations Amber!

Eastside MotoSports Sponsors #29 Amber Rimes
By D.Murrey

Eastside MotoSports is pleased to announce that we have come to an agreement with Amber Rimes of D & B Custom Racing in order to add a second Ducati rider to our energetic motorcycle road racing line up. Amber, #29 will be riding a 2006 749R along side WMRRA's #4 plate holder, Darren Murrey of DMD Racing. In 2005 Amber graduated from Novice and entered into the expert ranks with a convincing drive to be competitive. With only limited track time on a 2001 Ducati 748 she was able to prove her riding abilities as strong and consistent, with many top 10 finishes. 2006 will be an exciting season for the D&B Custom rider who will race the new 2006 Ducati
749R prepared and maintained by local Ducati mechanical sensation, Mark Appleby, of Mach Speed. Mark is a seasoned racing mechanic with expertise in building V-twin power plants and providing track-side assistance. Along with the skilled and proven support from Eastside Moto-Sports, Amber will receive continued support from Eurocorsa Performance, Cycle Cat and Zard
Exhaust Systems. Amber has also been working with recommendations from Eurocorsa to secure sponsorship with STM Italy, Regina Chains, PBR Sprockets and MRA Windscreens for 2006. Amber Rimes will be a fierce competitor in the upcoming season, challenging for top positions in Formula Thunder and Open GP Twin classes. "I'm very excited to be part of something as big as this, I have been working very hard in securing
sponsorship for the upcoming season, since Aug 2005. Now everything seems to be coming together, with the help of Eastside MotoSports and a large amount of Ducati contingency money available we are headed into a very exciting year. I am looking forward to campaigning the new Ducati 749R, it is a beautiful machine. It will be amazing for me to be able to work along side
Darren Murrey, the top Ducati racer in the Northwest." said D&B's Rider Amber Rimes. "Eastside MotoSports is very excited to add such an enthusiastic road racer to our team. Amber has proven to gain respect on the track along with good attention for being a role model to aspiring young women motorcyclists. We understand the importance of supporting the local racing scene and enjoy being part of building a future for this sport in the Northwest by helping up and coming racers like Amber. We look forward to helping her reach her racing goals while she debuts the new 2006 Ducati 749R." stated Rick Nakagaki, C.O.O. of Eastside MotoSports.

and the 819 PR machine marches on....

hahaha. I think it is great news, both as her sponsor but I also love to see more and more women getting bigger and more well known sponsors.

Who knows, I may be out WMRC's way in 2006

Congrats Amber...a person I respect NOT because she is a female racer, but as an awsome racer. I remember racing with AMBER in the rain, coming into turn 2 in Seattle, Amber goes flying by me and shoots down to turn 3 in the rain...she did end up on her ass coming out of turn 4. I remember thinking...Damn...this racer is agressive. From that day on...Amber Rimes #29 is in the thick of things in the twins class, getting better every time. She is analytical and systematic with her riding, that's why she gets the sponsorships. Plus she is a great human being.

You have to see her in WMRRA SERIES...you gotta say...wow that's impressive. Respect her as a racer not just a female racer.

Here is the US schedule. I will for sure be at these and maybe more. there is always a trackday on the Friday before as well...there are a blast to watch or come try out the track. The track is near Auburn WA about 30 minutes south of Seattle.

April 1-2 Pacific Raceways
May 6-7 Pacific Raceways
June 10-11 Pacific Raceways
July 8-9 Pacific Raceways
August 12-13 Pacific Raceways
October 7-8 Pacific Raceways

I am sure there will be a few more, I will post it up on www.amberrimes.com when we get any other dates. There is racing in Mission but the dates have not been released yet for 2006. I am sure once WMRC knows they will post them up on the site.

thanks...Amber
