If the wind noise is loud enough to wake me up in the middle of the night, I'm sure it'll get you death when you're riding on the highway if you don't start plugging your ears! C'mon ppl hearing damage is irreversible!

It woke me up :surrender

Maybe I should go get ready to stand in line at the post office as it has been out the door daily.

Time to rush off to work to find the powers out.
Looks like a hurricane hit Bowen. Trees and powerlines down everywhere (I have a generator).
woke me up too- i was like 'is this a hurricane?!' i thought it was kinda thrilling but my heart goes out to anyone who wasnt safe in their beds or has any damage from it!
Yeah, damn it. I guess it's work as usual. Some people just can't catch a break.

Interestingly enough, you don't hear a thing when you are 26 floors up..

Come on Coolio, you'll be fine with a tail wind as long as you do at least 94 kph. Heck, try doing 206 and you can say you did 300 kph.

It's probably not as turbulant up there as it would be lower down.

it's worse. winds can be much faster in as little as a hundred feet up.

of course the front comes and goes, the day before we go racing. we never get this kind of wind on an actual race weekend.

this sucks. float fest again. at least the club is well stocked with rum!
Shit man I slept through it all...and with storms like that we usually lose power...and i woke up to my alarm clock...was it really that bad?
It was nasty in north van. Woke me up at 2am and I thought for sure my windows were going to blow in, it was that bad. It's like a war zone at work. dollarton highway was fucked, couldn't even get into work until trees where removed. we're still just barely limping by on generators.
tons 'o fun.. next week was fucked, now it's totally fucked. yay.
My dog wouldn't let me sleep all night. She was scratching at the door in her room (yes, she has her own room, inside the house) and whimpering.

Skytrain was down in Surrey and they weren't letting it over the bridge to New West. Some New West stations were closed because they had too many crowds and the platforms wouldn't support them? I went back home to sleep.

I woke up at 10am when the power came back on and my VCR powered up. I go outside to inspect the damage.

Couldn't find my garbage cans or recycling bin. My tarps covering my ride-on lawnmower are probably in WhiteRock by now. A big piece of my balcony fencing was in my yard.

Walking to the skytrain at 11am, there were trees/branches/fences/broken glass everywhere around my 'hood! Crazy! Like a war zone!

The King George Highway to the Patullo Bridge was closed in both directions as it appears there was a major accident there...that usually means a fatality?

i wonder if this is going to create more water problems.
