Other possibility is that the rear wheel has a flat so he removed it for repairs or worse yet, rear wheel has been stolen....if it was Downtown Eastside, then it was stolen....
I guess this guy was tired of having his ride swiped while he was at work.

damn bosses.I still think my at work security device was effective. But I was still very worried when I had to leave my bike for trips to the bathroom and lunch room. For some reason my Boss would not approve of me riding it through the hallways to the lunchroom!:banghead

San Fran, right behind City Hall and across the street from the San Francisco Ballet Company. A ballerina in a pink tutu tried to sell me a "slightly used" Yosh slip-on. She said that she was clean out of Bimmer wheels.Excellent anti-theft device. But it looks like the bike's parked outside Buckingham Palace. Must be a tough neighborhood. :rolleyes
