Hello everyone, I buying my 06 R6 in a few days, I see that alot of you suggest Pacific Yamaha. G.A Yamaha is pretty close to where I live. Has anyone dealt with them in the past? Hows their customer service? How are they in the service department ie. when taking the bike for service or repairs?

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Thank you

I've bought my last two bikes from Pacific Yamaha. The first time I ever went in there was me and a buddy and the salesman I dealt with just saw us as a couple of punks, at this point I was just checking out the yamis for a future purchase. He left me feeling sour about the place, but I went back at a later date and made sure to deal with a different salesman (Nick) and he was an awesome guy from the get go. Treated me with respect and not like some moron, he has had my business ever since. When I took my bike in for service the counter guy was a bit of a prick, but he was let go about a week later, problem solved. I highly recommend seeing Nick for any purchases or even if you just want to go have a look around.

I took my FZ6 to Checkpoint for its first service, and let's just say it won't be going there again. Their parts desk is awesome, though.

Just a heads up, NSSY doesn't like you bringing in bikes for service/repairs that you didn't buy from them. I know first hand.
Odd you would say that. I've never bought a bike from NS Suzuki, but have had a lot of different bikes serviced there.

Wait, don't you work for a competing dealership or something? So maybe it's not so odd that you would say that...:rolleyes
Please correct me if I've made that statement in error.

One more vote for NS Suzuki/Yamaha. I've poked around GA Checkpoint a bit, but have never bought anything there...so I can't really give recommendation one way or the other. Although, I can say I was never really impressed with the service I received from Pac Yam either. But whatever, most dealerships are hit & miss (except for Burnaby Kawasaki).

I too know of many that take their bikes there regardless of place of purchase.

Why is that can you please let us know about your experience.

Thanks for the advice guys. I will shop around for the best price. I also started the thread to have an idea to know where to take the bike to for services/repairs.

I didn't enjoy my 2nd experience with checkpoint. I wanted to buy another bike from them after my first was stolen. I shopped around first, then went back to them and asked if they would at the least match price. They said no, b/c they could get what they were asking for the bike. I bought my bike from north shore after.

PM me. The experience wasn't bad enough for me to publicly trash 'em, just bad enough for me to go elsewhere.

Hey

I work at pacific yamaha and I can tell you that Nick or Patrick are great salesman. They'll get you set up with what you need and work a deal with any extras you might want with the bike. Come pay us a visit if you want to look around
