Did anybody see the ad in the Province? MH900e #1422 is for sale. The guy is asking $25,000 for it. If it hasn't been ridden, then that's not a bad price. It would make a great investment, after all, how many of you can put you mutual fund portfolios in the living room and drool all over them?

I didn't think they were that expensive. I would rather have two liter bikes for that price :eek
Plus I think it kinda looks fugly too.

I'm not a big Duc fan, but the MH900e looks the biz to me. Beautiful, and that swingarm, babay!:eek
I don't think I'd be strong enough not to ride it and that would kill any investment potential.
This is it if I am not mistaken right ?

That's the one. They had one at RMS last summer and it looks better in the flesh.
For some reason it just looks like the engine of a bullet train
Very Fugly IMO
I think that its one of those bikes that only the older riders can appreciate. But is seems the more you look at it the less fugly it becomes.:rolleyes
Actually they still have one at RMS.. at least as of Thursday. Sitting right next to that shiny Ben Bostrom Race Rep. 998S.. now that's some coin..

As much as I hate Duc's, and think they're a bear to ride. The Bostrom rep looks the biz. Now that's a colour scheme! Some really nice trick bits on it too. How much they want for the Boz rep?
I just got an e-mail from the guy selling the MH900e. It's never been ridden, in fact it's still crated! Mmm, gotta try to raise $25,000. That bike will only appreciate in value...no?:confused
Go for it man if you can come up with the coin, but I know two weeks after you get it if you get it you will be cruising around on it :D

Can't comment on the 748 and the 99x series but the 900SS I had was the sweetest bike of all time to ride. The 9R is arguably a better bike in every way but the Supersport fit like your favourite pair of soft slippers. I felt much more like the bike was part of ME than I was a part of the bike. The 9R is so fat between the knees that sometimes I wonder who is riding who.

Hows that for an straight line opening for you :D

what's so special about that bike?
Take something about the size and weight of a Ninja 500. Make the handling feel like a finely tuned 600 class bike but somehow retain a solidly stable feel as it carves through corners. Add some one finger stoppie capable brakes. Then top it off with a torquey twin that supplies a real world accessable solid push when you roll it on coming out of corners. And then there is the sound of a twin barking through a pair of lightly packed "mufflers".

It can truthfully be shown that number for number your 6R is a better bike in pretty much every category. But unless you ride one you'll never realize just how little the numbers mean.

Sure a 600 could beat it in a drag race but the way it produced power was very satisfying and there is something about being able to USE the bike closer to it's limits that can be much more satisfying than having a whole lot of power that can only be tapped once a week or so. This was also the second bike that I have ever ridden that taught me how important it is to let the machine make enough music to communicate with the rider's soul. The other bike? A Polaris Victory Sport.........

The guy that bought my Duc traded a late model GSXR 750 to get my Duc. And after a season and a half has no regrets and no intention of trading it away for some time yet.

the duc you traded in for the 9 is the same model as the one in the pic? kOOL:cool

i think i gotta check out the one at RMS and see what they look like in real life
