Well they tryed again last night to steal my baby. I was woken up by my landlord at midnight (which sucked as I just came off 9 days straight, 12hr days, at work) One of the other tenants had been watching an Asian fellow standing out on the corner holding a backpack and white Shoei helmet, then about 1/2hr later he heard some banging in the underground and went down to check. Now finding this Asian fellow in the underground with no backpack or helmet ... so he escorted him out of the building and upon doing a walk through of the underground afterwards, found that he had cut off the locking system I have and had stashed his backpack, witch contained a saws-all and his helmet behind another car. So needless to say he save my bike by probly 5 minutes, another 5 minutes and the little f***er would have been gone with my baby. Cops were called, they took a description of the guy and they took the saws-all and helmet in for fingerprinting.

All I can say otherwise is this POS Thief is dam lucky it wasnt me that caught him in the underground, as I would have snaped the F***ers neck and left him for dead.

what kind of lock system do you have on your bike. i parck my brand new zx6r in a underground and i worry about every nite i have kryptonite chain and a master u lock on it and a disk lock and i still worry

There's not much you can do ..you can chain the fuck outta it in an underground and I've still heard horror stories. If they want it they will get it. I think that instead of a immobiliser I'm going to just get a nuke installed...

I consider what happened to be fortunate for you, 1 you still have your bike 2 you have a landlord that cares, 3 the thief lost his shit.
Today while you are out I'd buy another kick ass lock and a case of beer for your lardlord to thank him!

Being a steel worker comes in real handy sometime. I made a boot for it and the bar that I used you can't bolt cut it off, so this guy has cased it and brought a saws-all to cut it.

How about dig a hole in the concrete with huge spikes 20 feet down and put a blanket over top of it...hehe:devillook

ya it's anchored into the concrete with 4 anchor bolts, welded nuts ... so it ain't coming out

All this talk of "offing" the offender is fun, but if someone dies in your underground while attempting to steal your bike, i'd bet that this thread shows up in the ensuing court case. It won't go well for you if it does.

ya totaly true, it just gets extremly sickning that this jackass probly has 20 or more conviction, and he just walks the streets like nobody's buisness

I have more anti-theft devices than one could possibly imagine within private cages I'd had built for my cars & bikes. In short: people still try and try; we're constantly catching the best-armed thieves I've ever met (ie: with specially crafted tools & equipment). Many of 'm carry knives (and worse) so it's wise to think-through your plan if you do catch a genuine pro theif.

It'll never stop. Immobilizers are good but a thief who wants your stuff will get it.

Park it somewhere visible, where someone working on it would be seen by lots of passers-by. "Secure" underground parking just gives the thieves a nice, quiet, secure place to work on breaking your security system.

I thought older bikes would be a safer from thieves, it has to be about the same amount of work to steal a brand new one doesn't it?

Thats what I was thinkin with my '89 CBR600 (till it got stolen).
