Hey all,

I really need some help here.

I have a hindle headers and midpipe for my zx7r and a hindle carbon fibre can. The problem is that the header and midpipe are 2" diameter, and the can is 2.25" diameter.

I have taken it to BK to get installed but they seem to be unsure of how to make them fit together.

Is there anyone out there that could help that knows anything about echaust fabrication. I was told i should be able to get a simple reducer to make it fit, but BK says if it is aluminum or some other metal it wont be able to take the heat. Is anyone able to tell me where to find a stainless steel reducer or have any other ideas.

Thanks all. I hope i will be able to make this fit without having to buy another can.

I would have to say pretty much any muffler shop should be able to fab up what you need for cheap.

take the header to an exhaust shop and they will expand it for you ,at .25 wider its not enough to rip the metal . tell them to go slow and keep test fitting it so its just enough .

better if they can heat it a bit too

easy fix

ok ill get the parts from BK, and then ill take them to some muffler shops to see....thanks guys.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good muffler shop, that is more likely to know about bike exhaust and should be able to handle this without worry?

1/4" is easily expanded. Never had to get bike exhaust work done, I bought a complete system. But Scotty @ Car Line in Maple Ridge does awesome work.
