That sucks... he's a super talented rider. He qualified 5th (i think) at daytona and did well in testing. There must be more to it than meets the eye.

I think Chandler is going to Ducati now.

I would say Aprillia is not racing in the US because of money. The factory teams are already running in the pinnacle classes of motorcycle racing (WSBK and GP). Not to mention the development costs of their 4 stroke GP bike.

I agree it would be cool to see them in AMA too.

Picotte to Yamaha? I think Aaron Gobert was running Formula Xtreme and 600 supersport. Not sure man... I would say he's outta the job for the rest of the year. I hope Chandler finds a ride though.

In the overall scheme of things, I guess AMA is still small potatoes compared to the exposure GP and WSB get.

The UK for example is bike crazy compare to here. For a lot of people there it is their only means of transportation. The knowledge of bikes and the history is incredible. Spain is supposed to be even more bike crazy.

If anyone ever wants info about bikes, I always direct them to some Brit forums, cos they know so much about them.

I like AMA Superbike racing over the GP and WSB racing. It is much more competitive.... WSB is nuttin but twins now, but hopefully that will soon change when the 1000 inline fours compete soon. Supersport racing is always good :)

but all I can say is, just about anything is better than Formula 1 racing.... it has sucked so bad in recent years :(

The AMA superbike series may be small potatoes compared to the rest of the world, but give it time. It was once that way with motocross as well, and now the very very best in the world know where to compete if they want to beat and be the best. The AMA series!!!

dude, i'll have to disagree. Take 2 weeks ago for example... they played (ch55 - speedvision) 250gp, 750 supersport, 600 supersport and superbike during Daytona weekend.

ANother bonus is that it's played live too. It sucks when the results are already on the internet and the race hasn't even played on TV yet?! (a la WSBK)

BTW, world supersport is playing on March 26... (Valencia, Spain - 1st Round)
