Yep. My 2006 F4i gets around 200kms before the reserve lights come on. Around 230 with all highway riding. My reserve light seems to come on with around 5 litres left in the tank (i've had all 4 bars flashing at me, and still only got 15 litres in the tank (3 left)).

i think you guys are forgetting how MUCH gas you put in... I only get 175 KMs, i can stretch it a ltitle more, but I only put in $8 or so, at .97 cents/liter

Ive put in $11 before, if you lift the nozzle up, and cram tons of gas in it, i usually dont do that though,

Also don't get off your bike to fill up, sit on it. With the bike straight up you can get more gas in it...175 kms doesnt sound right you should be getting more out of it than that...and $11 is the most amount you've put in before? I've put $16+ in before....the prices were a little higher than they are now but still

i use the high octane but i did get off to fill teh bike. i was thinkin about that afterwards (since the manual says to check fluids when teh bikes straight) But i also have one down front and one up rear but everythgin else is stock. just checkin to make sure my bike isnt really ill or anything.

oh and also starting it in like 0 degree weather hoe long does it take to turn over? took me like 6 tries before it kicked.

but thanks for the replies i have more of piece of mind now! :rockon

oh yeah are there any gloves, liners, or glove overs out there that work well in uber cold weather?

i'm same with pierre.... around 170-180kms and the light goes on.....

btw u guys said 4 bars are flashing?! how does that work...... mine goes from like 7-8 bars...... then one bar flashing..... even with the one bar flashing, i can only put 11 bucks.... so personally...... when the light flashes, i still have 30% fuel left....... so basically 220-230km from full tank to dried boneD

and how you pump the fuel by sitting down..... my number 1 concern that i learned is to not drip the oil at any parts....... so i do it the standing way

What do you weigh? Your weight effects the mileage a lot. Plus if you rev your motor up high all the time too.

btw, bikes are supposed to go faster than cars....... i want to achive that, but still haven't gotten that point..... my first week, i reved to my desire until i was faster than all others but then...... that's not big deal, any fool can do that

my question is..... i've started to go as smooth as i can...... but shit, i'm damn slow lol.....

from a standing start, when do you guys change gears?

for me... in the smooth sense
1st gear....... reved up smoothly..... about 2 seconds..... 30-40km/h
2nd gear..... releasing the clutch slowly.... wasted 1 second..... throttle slowly, trying to match rpm......

what a waste of time, any tips on going faster than cagers while still smooth?
