Some of you may know I've been looking for an older ride well today I got it. It's a 1979 Husqvarna CR250. I wanted a 78 like I had back in the day but for $200.00 I couldn't pass it up. Needs a fair amount of work but I'll have it for the rest of my life so.....

So Bill you can get parts for this can't you? ha ha ha.... We'll be talking when I get back from a two week road trip I start tomorrow.

The tank alone on Ebay would go for $200.00 so I think it's a screaming deal. The motor (head and cylinder) and pipe along with a few other parts are in a box in my shed. It's a bit of a project bike but I've gotten ones in worse shape up and running so I welcome the challenge. Come spring I hope to have it out on the trails. I also plan on racing it State side in vintage events in the future.

I know a guy that has another husky. Hes on BC4x4.com . Might be Jamie.... anyhow could be a cheap donor bike
The former owner was a guy called Jamie. If he works as a Volvo tech and lives in Richmond then that is the bike you are thinking of. Nice guy. Offered to help me out if I had any questions.

Looks cool , keep the pictures of the Project coming .
I'm working in cranbrook for the next few weeks so it will be awhile before I start the wrenching/rebuild. But count on seeing a few pic's as the Husky comes back to life. As for now I'm planning on surfing the net looking for info and parts. So if any of you have or know of any intresting sites please post them up.

There are a few parts on e-bay for that bike.Like an original 1979 cr250 manual.Bent bike in Langley also has lots of old forgotten stuff. What parts do you need.
Would love a manual for sure. But as I'm now in Cranbrook and unable to do anything on the bike till I get back I have no idea what else I might need.

I'll be checking out Bent Bike and Muddy Motors when I get back. In fact I sent a e-mail to Muddy to see what they have in the way of parts. No reply yet but I'm sure there are parts in the lower mainland. I'll find them eventualy but if any of you are out and about and see anything that may be of intrest please feel free to post up or PM me. Thanks Stef
