Ok, I just got a KX250, picked up some awesome Gaerne SG-10s, got an Acerbis Kotera compression suit, and now just need pants, jersey, and dirt helmet/goggles. I went over budget on the boots (still a good deal), but I think they are what is most important, got a great deal on the compression suit too!

Sooooo....It's actually been about 15 years since I've been on a dirt bike, so I need to start slow and put-put around. I'm very open to pointers and lessons from anyone. I know the KX is a lot of bike, but I do road race, and I think I do have some good throttle control skills, so that should help. Anyone wanna help out a dirt newbie?

Have fun, and I wouldn't worry too much about throttle control, I would concentrate on clutch control. Try to get in to the habit of using it make the power delivery smother.

LOL, the tail is fine, i'm just too fat! I sitting around 210, however, I have a goal of 170 by spring, so the tail will be good after!

Its a 2000, and when all was said and done with a tonne of work, thanks to Bill and Cherie at 5th gear, it came to $3500 including Bill's work. Bike is freakin brand new again!
