Had my Shoei X9 painted by Troy Lee Designs back in '96. Awesome paint work and detail. Costs alot more now though. Also in the process of getting my X-11 painted by a friend. I find that there aren't many helmets out there with stock graphics that I like. That's just me though.....

Any of the helmets sold in stores have ugly graphics, or all look too similar. My next helmet will be solid black and i'll paint something discrete on there.

My gf just bought me a SHOEI RF-1000 Diabolic helmet today.
Reg priced at 709.99!
But the graphics are awsome!

Yes i gotta admit most of the helmet looks similar out there, but i dun think i have seen anything quite like this.

Woohoo~

My brother had his helmet airbrushed with graphics that matched his tatoos. Pretty nice job, but yes, it cost a bit of $$$.

Good quality artwork or paintwork is going to be pricey, I dont airbrush(yet anyhow)

My friend Aaron does though http://www.evolutioncustoms.ca (check out custom paint)

You got to get into that airbrush stuff. If you can do anything like your tshirts and art, I am in. I have seen some of your stuff at mission raceways before. I talked to some nice guy, really tall, at your booth, and was going to buy a shirt but had no cash. Made a point of pointing it out to the little lady and wouldnt you know it, got myself a little early Christmas gift. Dont know how she got it, your website? I dunno? Thanks tho!

I looked into it last season and found local prices to be a little on the steep side. Not saying that they don't do great work or that their prices aren't justified.... (cuz there are some crazy talented people here that do deserve what their asking prices are) I'm just saying that I can be a cheap bastard at times. Anyways, If you're like me and am only a fair weather rider, you can always send your helmet out to get done in the off season. I sent mine to Heath @ www.ezairfx.com (New Brunswick) and got my helmet and visor done for $380. I only paid for the shipping there ($30 I think) and he included the shipping back. $410 total, that's pretty cheap if you ask me, And he did a great job, pretty much exactly like the drawings that I has sent along with it. He's always busy, and it too 2 months, but it's not like I needed it over the winter anyways. Give him a call, he's a GREAT guy.

The paint is applied on a perforated layer... from far away it looks solid, but when your eyes are only an inch away, you see pretty much everything. No worst than a dark tinted visor. It's really only for daytime casual riding. If I'm riding at night or plan on riding at a quicker clip, I'll switch visors.

That looks awesome, have any gallery pics of it?

No, unfortunately, I've just been too lazy to take pictures of it since I got it. Here are a couple from Heath before he put on the 6 layers of clearcoat.
Holy shit, that is awesome.
